Why do the product weights on some items seem wrong?

The shipping weights in our shopping cart may not always seem correct. One reason for this is that some large, bulky items get charged additional dimensional charges by carriers like UPS, so we have to increase the item’s shipping weight in order to get compensated for this. We also add in additional weights for items that need to be placed on a pallet for shipment via freight trucks. Regardless of these reasons, if you think we made a mistake on an item, feel free to call or email to have us double-check the item. If there is a problem, we will do our best to fix it.
