Product Description
Citrajet: Low Foaming Acid Cleaner
Citrajet is a low foaming, phosphate-free, concentrated, liquid cleaner and metal brightener for high performance removal of metal oxides, scales, salts and inorganic residues in labware washers, parts washers, power-spray systems and manual and ultrasonic cleaning. Corrosion inhibited and free rinsing leaving no interfering residues. Ideal for acid washing and rinsing. Dilute 2:100 pH 2.5
Alconox products require 2-5 day handling time.
Used to clean: Laboratory ware, sampling apparatus, dairy equipment optical parts, electronic components, pharmaceutical apparatus, cosmetics manufacturing equipment, metal forgings, stampings and castings, industrial parts, pipes, tanks, boilers and reactors. USDA compliant for use in federally inspected meat and poultry plants. Passes inhibitory residue test for water analysis. FDA certified. Used to remove: Scale, metal oxides, metal complexes, trace inorganics, milkstone, soil, grit, buffing compound, grime, grease, fats, oils, particulates, amphoteric peptides, deposits, chemicals and solvents. Surfaces cleaned: Corrosion inhibited formulation recommended for glass, metal, stainless steel, porcelain, ceramic, plastic, rubber and fiberglass. Can be used on soft metals such as copper, bronze, aluminum, zinc and magnesium if rinsed promptly. Corrosion testing may be advisable. Cleaning method: Laboratory warewashers, dishwashers, washer-sterilizers, washer-sanitizers, cart washers, spray washers, electrocleaning, ultrasonic cleaners flow through cleanin- place and manual cleaning if proper skin and eye protection is used. Directions: Make a fresh 1-2% solution (3-5 Tbsp. per gal., 1 1/4 - 2 1/2 oz. per gal., or 10-20 ml per liter) in cold, warm or hot water. If available, use hot water. For difficult soils, raise water temperature and use more detergent. Clean by soak, circulate, wipe or ultrasonic method. Wear protective gloves and eyewear when handling. RINSE THOROUGHLY— running water is best. For critical cleaning, do final or all rinsing in distilled, deionized or purified water. For food contact surfaces, rinse with potable water. Used on a wide range of glass, ceramic, plastic and metal surfaces. Corrosion Testing may be advisable.

Cleaning Validation Methods: Test a parameter of rinse water before and after rinsing the cleaned surface, or test the clean surface. No significant change in the parameter indicates no detectable residue. Parameters measured include: pH, conductivity, total organic carbon, surface tension, and surface analysis. To get a bulletin on cleaning validation method references for Alconox, Inc. detergents, go to the Pharmaceutical Cleaning Validation References page in the TECH INFO section of our website at www.alconox.com.
