Center Lok II Pad Grabber
Secure your floor pad with this screw-on pad grabber. This item comes with a retainer, washer, and base for easy centering of standard size floor pads. A pad grabber is a center locking device that secures the floor pad to a pad driver typically found on floor machines or high speed burnishers.
A floor machine is also known as a swing machine, or buffer, and should not be operated without first receiving proper training. These machines operate at 175 RPM (rotations per minute) in a counter-clockwise motion that propels the machine from side-to-side. They are typically used to strip finish, restore finish, or clean carpet (bonnet cleaning), and require accessories such as floor pads, pad drivers, and these pad grabbers.
A high speed burnisher is a walk behind machine. Unlike a floor machine, the wheels of a burnisher are in constant contact with the floor, preventing it from swinging back and forth. Although it operates at higher speeds, a burnishing machine is much easier to operate than a buffer. Required accessories include: pad drivers, floor pads, and these pad grabbers.
