  2. Where and what is the brand name that can I get in smaller quantities for home use.

  3. Worldwide Janitor says:

Hi Hector, sorry but these detergents are not available in smaller quantities for home use. The brand is not a nationally recognized brand name. They are made by a local manufacturer here in the New Orleans area.

  4. Questioning consumer says:

Can you give a suggestion as to which phosphate detergent is best for a variety of items? Linens, clothing, etc. Is it preferable to use regular detergent and add the dry bleach, or do you advise one of the detergents? It’s for a mix– clothing, linens, etc.

    • Worldwide Janitor says:

Hi, either Liquid Laundersol or HTD Heavy Duty Detergent (which is a powder) will probably do well. If they are whites, you can use Chlorine Dry Bleach and Oxygen Dry Bleach as well. If they are colors, you can only use Oxygen Dry Bleach along with the detergent.

How many loads will the 25lb bucket wash?

    • Worldwide Janitor says:

I’m assuming you are asking about the HTD Heavy Duty Detergent. If so, I need to know how many pounds of laundry your washer handles per load, and whether or not it is high efficiency (HE)?

      • Customer says:

I have this question too. My washer is a 3.5 cu ft. top load washer that fills with about 22 gallons for a full tub wash. I believe it would hold about 14 lbs. of dry clothes. This is not an HE cycle. What is the recommended amount of HTD powdered in the blue bucket for this load? For example, 1/2 cup? Using this amount, how many loads can I expect to get from a 25 lbs. bucket? Thank you.

I need to make sure I am using the correct amount. It has been working well for us.

  6. Edwin says:

    Two questions:
    1) Concerning the detergents with phosphates: Is TSP the phosphate used for all of them?
2). Specifically for the HTD Heavy Duty Detergent: What percentage phosphate used?
Thanks in advance for your response.

    • Worldwide Janitor says:

Hi, the manufacturer will not disclose the exact ingredients of the product, so we can only go by information that is available in the SDS sheet. The SDS sheet lists “Trisodium Phosphate” as one of the ingredients, and the percentage range is listed as 5-15%. This particular manufacturer is guarded about their ingredients because they have had problems with competitors copying their products in the past.

  7. sam says:

what detergent do you suggest for a linen company that washes Tablecloths, chef coats, bar mops, etc ?

  8. Bobby says:

About how much phosphate is in the lemon lime low suds?

    • Worldwide Janitor says:

The SDS sheet for this product claims Trisodium Phosphate 1-3%, which is the lowest concentration of phosphates out of the detergents we sell that have phosphates in them.

  9. Catherine Gacheru says:

will low suds detergent keep the whites white without that the yellowing you get with regular detergents

    • Worldwide Janitor says:

Hi, Low Suds should not cause any yellowing. BUT I’m not sure how much of the yellowing you’re talking about is due to the detergents you have been using or the yellowing that tends to happen to whites as they age because of getting soiled over time. My experience has been that older, especially cotton fabrics, will start to turn eventually and there is nothing that can really get rid of that or make them look like new again. If I only want bright whites, I usually have to get rid of them after 2-3 years of regular use and buy new ones. Some other things to try are a strong 10% bleach and Oxy Clean White Revive.

      • Laurel says:

an old-fashioned ‘bluing agent’ in the rinse cycle can do wonders to mask the yellowing, tho. I like modern products, but my grandma’s tried-and-true bottle of bluing makes me happy with older sheets and towels! =^.^= Might be a product you consider selling.

  10. Jeff says:

    Hi! A few questions:

    1) I’ve noticed that these detergents list their PH. Does that means that they soften the water to that PH level? Would adding softener (Washing Soda) be redundant?

    2) What about other boosters such as Biz or White Brite? Can/should these be used?

    • Worldwide Janitor says:

The pH is important for the cleaning process. Higher pH products are more alkaline and better at removing oils and greases. Lower pH products are going to be gentler on fabric. Experiment with boosters as needed based on the types of soiled linens you have, but I don’t recommend using an alkaline booster in conjunction with a detergent that is already very alkaline. I’m not familiar with the products you mentioned.

  11. Joy G says:

What can I use to remove the odors on laundry from a bad dryer? I’ve tried TSP and hung laundry to dry it did not remove the smell.

  12. Barbara says:

I have some very old 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s tablecloths, napkins, aprons, embroidered and crocheted items that I need to get some old stains and just get cleaned so I can sell them. Can you please tell me what I should use? I have seen to use phosphate-free soap, but I am not very clear as to what that is or where to purchase. Thank you for your help.
