Commercial Bathroom Maintenance Checklist

Commercial Bathroom Maintenance ChecklistsThe bathroom can be one of the most disgusting areas in a place of business. Employees have to use them and in some cases customers are required to have access to them. Yet, nobody likes to clean bathrooms.
Unlike a home environment where the users realize that eventually they will have to clean up their own mess, in a business setting people can seem more willing to defer the problem to someone else.
In small businesses, that can become the problem of the owner or manager.
Everyone wants their business to make a strong impression, even in the bathroom. By following these tips, you’ll have cleaner, fresher restroom facilities that will be easy and less time-consuming to maintain.

Establish a schedule. This seems like a no-brainer, but when things get hopping around a business, when orders need to be filled and customers need to be taken care of, cleaning the bathroom can seem like a luxury. Instead, make sure it is a priority and establish a thoughtful cleaning schedule. Be sure to include the times the facilities need to be serviced, who will be responsible for the cleaning and what tasks need to be specifically addressed. Continue reading

How to Remove Stains from Carpet

Cleaning Carpet StainsThere’s nothing worse than having a stain on the carpet. Whether it is caused by a customer tracking something in on his boots, an employee accidentally dumping her lunch on the ground or coffee spilled on the floor, a dirty carpet looks unprofessional and gives the customer an unfair impression that the business is dirty and unkempt.

Even if the stain isn’t in a high traffic customer area, a small stain can bring down employee morale and serve as reminder that the company they work for just simply doesn’t care about the quality of their facility. Carpets play an important role in creating a healthy indoor environment so keeping it clean will extend its life and keep its appearance longer.

Some stains can be easily taken care of if they are treated promptly. Unfortunately, in a business situation that isn’t always practical as employees can be pulled away by meetings, phone calls and other distractions. Sometimes people don’t even realize they’ve made a mess at all. In other situations, employees don’t have the access to the proper cleaning tools to get the job done quickly and properly. How to Get Rid of Ants

Spotting a small, harmless ant in your business may not seem like such a big deal at first, but don’t be fooled. Where there is one ant, you can bet there are many, many more waiting to descend on your space.

Ants

Ants

So what do you do? Well, it’s time to prepare for battle because when the ants go marching in, you have to be ready to give them their marching orders out.

There are several ways to approach the problem:

Home remedies. Many common ants, like the tiny ants that make their home in the cracks of pavement, like sweet tastes. So, if you’re trying to lure them into a trap, try teasing them with a cupful of a sweet, sticky substance like syrup or jelly.

Some also swear by a common product that most people still have in their home even after their children have grown: Baby powder. If you know the points where ants are coming in from, it’s said that the baby powder can kill the ants still inside because they can’t find their way out using the scent from their original trail. Is your website secure?

Yes. An important fact to know about our site security, is that we do not store credit card numbers. Even customers with accounts who purchase regularly are required to enter their credit card information each time, at which point it is securely passed to Authorize.net. While we realize that this can be a small inconvenience, it significantly reduces any risk associated with online shopping. In addition, all of our site pages are delivered with SSL encryption, not just our checkout pages like most other online stores. We also have an “Extended Validation” SSL certificate which means that many extra measures were required by GlobalSign in order to verify the identity of our store and its ownership prior to approval. Most online stores do not go through the trouble of getting Extended Validation SSL Certificates simply because most online shoppers do not know what they are. Our website is also hosted on a dedicated server at Liquidweb, which is inherently more secure than shared hosting.

Who is Snee Chemical Company?

WorldwideJanitor.com is an online distributor for Snee Chemical Company products. Our line of Snee Chemical manufactured products are available in bulk sizes, some in sizes up to 55 gallon drums, giving every consumer the option to save money by purchasing in bulk.

Some of the more popular products you’ll see here are not available in any other online store, or even local stores for that matter. Many of these are industrial cleaning products for heavy commercial jobs, some classified as hazardous materials. Some popular examples are:

We chose to carry Snee Chemical products because they are one of the Gulf South’s oldest and most trusted manufacturers of janitorial, marine, and industrial products. Their products are well-known and popular along the Gulf Coast, and utilized throughout the world. Snee has been in business since 1947, and these products have withstood the test of time.

The high quality and limited online availability of Snee’s products, were a critical factor in us deciding to create WorldwideJanitor.com.

How does bulk pricing work?

Worldwide Janitor is a very special online store because we cater to the needs of commercial buyers by offering high volume quantities of janitorial products that typically are not available in other online stores.

We start out by offering our chemical products in commercial containers like 5 gallon pails, 4/1 gallon cases, pallet quantities, 30 and 55 gallon drums. All of these volume discounts are already priced into the product prices when adding them to your shopping cart.

We then provide additional bulk order discounts upon checkout. These discounts are based upon your total spend. Below is a table that outlines the bulk discounts you will receive upon checkout based on your total spend:

$1,000-$1,999-1%
$2,000-$2,999-2%
$3,000-$3,999-3%
$4,000-$4,999-4%
$5,000-$9,999-5%
$10,000+-6%

You will see these additional discounts in your total at checkout.

You may also notice that some products are discounted based on cases of 12 or other sets of numbers. If you order an odd number of products that is not pre-discounted in our shopping cart, simply send us a message, and we will provide a refund to get all of the products down to the cheapest price of that product in your order.

To further explain, here is an example:

The product “blue widgets” is priced at $4 each, and $36 per case of 12 ($3 each for the case).

You order the case of 12, but you need 14 total, so you add 2 more (at $4 each) to the shopping cart and check out.

You call, email, or send us a message through our contact form, letting us know that you need the extra 2 discounted.

We will then discount the the 2 extra blue widgets you ordered, down to the case price ($3 each); and we will give you a refund for the difference.

Can you bill my UPS account?

Yes, we now have an option in our shopping cart to choose “Bill to 3rd Party UPS Account” where customers can enter their UPS account number to have the shipping charges bill to their account.

You will not receive a shipping charge from us for the order when this option is selected. We will ship the item via UPS, and they will bill your account for it.

Why are our UPS Shipping Prices so Expensive?

We apologize that our UPS prices are so expensive for some people, there are a few reasons for this:

  • We do not do a lot of UPS shipping, therefore we don’t get the discounts that some high volume sellers receive from UPS. The big cost savings we provide is for customers purchasing bulk quantities (pallet and 55 gallon drums) using freight truck shipping.
  • For customers living in areas that are considered “extended service areas,” UPS adds on an extra charge.
  • We are located in the greater New Orleans metro area, so the further out from us you are, the more expensive UPS charges to ship.
  • Most of our products are liquid products that are very heavy, therefore UPS shipping is more than what people are used to paying for sending lighter-weight, everyday packages.
  • UPS also adds on an additional charge for residential delivery these days, and that charge is automatically determined by their software regardless of whether the address actually is a residential location.

While the focus of our business is our high-volume bulk selling, we realize that lowering UPS costs will help to increase exposure of our excellent product line. We hope to offer better UPS prices in the future.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, but their are limitations to overseas service.

1. We will not take credit card payment for orders from overseas. Payment must be made in the form of Bitcoin, Check or Money Order, or Wire Transfer, and those payments must clear the bank prior to shipments being sent out.

2. We will have to get you a shipping quote manually for overseas shipments. This can be time consuming, but we will do our best to make the process as fast as possible.

What is a Hazmat Shipment?

If an item in your shopping cart is classified as a hazardous material by the Dept. of Transportation (DOT), then UPS charges an additional “hazmat fee” to the shipment. Currently that fee is $35, and your shopping cart will automatically add it into your shipping quote, with the notification in red that a “Hazmat fee” is included.
